George Webster Memorial State Scholarship Program

$500 to $2,000 Scholarships for the Children and Grandchildren of Florida FOP Members.

The George Webster Memorial State Scholarship rewards academic achievement, community involvement, and the work it takes to earn a college education. Open to the sons, daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters of active Florida FOP members in good standing.

What This Scholarship Means

Earned by the Student.
Backed by the Badge.

The George Webster Memorial State Scholarship was built on a simple idea — that the families of Florida law enforcement officers deserve a real boost when a son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter heads to college. It’s not a participation award. It’s earned by the applicant’s academic record, their community involvement, their work history, and where they’re going next. Awards range from $500 to a four-year renewable scholarship of $2,000. Every dollar comes from the FOP membership and the lodges that fund the program.

Who This Is For

Open to the Sons, Daughters, Grandsons, and Granddaughters of Florida FOP Members.

To apply, the student must be the son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of an active member in good standing of a local FOP lodge in Florida at the time of application. The student must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college or university and maintain an overall 2.50 GPA each semester. The Declaration Form must be notarized and certified by the local FOP lodge that verifies the family relationship.

Four Steps
One Deadline

The application has four parts. Each one matters. Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be accepted by the Scholarship Committee.
