A New Design
Same Purpose
The Florida FOP license plate has been redesigned and is available now at local tag offices across the state. It carries the Fraternal Order of Police star, the Florida thin blue line, and the FOP motto: Jus, Fidus, Libertatum. Justice, Fidelity, Liberty.
Revenue from the Florida FOP license plate goes to the Florida State FOP Memorial Foundation. The Foundation honors Florida law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty and supports the families they left behind. It funds the annual memorial service in Tallahassee, maintains the Roll Call of Heroes, and stands behind survivors long after the headlines end. A plate is a small, recurring way to be part of that.
Four Steps at the Counter
After October 1, 2026 - Anyone who registers a vehicle in Florida can order the plate. Already have a Florida tag? You can switch at any point during your registration year.
How to Get the Plate
For Florida FOP Members
The process is the same for members. Order the plate at your county tag office alongside everyone else. No lodge paperwork, no membership verification, no separate form. The plate has been available to Florida FOP members since the redesign entered production, so there is nothing to wait for.
