Officer-Led. Member-Driven.
Built to Protect Officers, Families, and Careers
Florida FOP membership goes beyond a card in your wallet. It's legal defense, labor representation, family support, and benefits that show up before the call, during the incident, and long after the report.

The full benefits breakdown shows what’s covered, who qualifies, and how each protection works in practice — written in plain language, not policy speak.

FOP benefits aren't pulled from a generic association template. They're shaped by active and retired Florida law enforcement officers who know what protection actually has to look like — coverage that holds up during a critical incident, contracts that protect take-home pay, and family support that doesn't disappear when the badge comes off.

Discounts and Post-Disaster Relief
Some of the most-used FOP benefits aren't about a courtroom or a contract. They're about everyday savings and being there when life gets hard.

Member Discounts
Discount programs are administered through the National FOP and partner organizations. Available offers and eligibility may change over time. Members should check the Member Resources area for current programs.
These programs aren't extras tacked onto a membership card. Mortgages, insurance, retiree health coverage, and everyday savings add up over a career and they keep working after the badge comes off.
- Mortgage and home-buying programs
- Auto, home, and life insurance options
- Travel, hotel, and car rental discounts
- Retail and everyday services
- Pre-65 retiree health insurance options
- Aetna Medicare supplement plans for retirees

Post-Disaster Relief
Officers serving impacted areas should contact the State Lodge or their local lodge directly. Available relief depends on the incident, the membership status, and current program funding.
When hurricanes, fires, or major incidents hit Florida, FOP members and their families have a place to turn. Post-disaster relief may include:
- Direct financial assistance for members impacted by qualifying disasters
- Coordination with local lodges for emergency support
- Florida FOP Disaster Response Team activation
- Connection to National FOP disaster relief funds
Protection You Don't Want to Need Until You Need It
The best time to know what your membership covers is before something happens. The second-best time is right now.
