The Permanent Record
Roll Call of Heroes
Every Florida law enforcement officer honored by the Florida State FOP Memorial Foundation is listed here, the police officers, deputies, agents, troopers, correctional officers, and chiefs who answered the call and never came home. Their names are kept, their service is documented, and their place in Florida's history is permanent.

What This Record Holds
More Than 140 Years of Service. Every Name Kept.
The Roll Call of Heroes is Florida's permanent online record of law enforcement line-of-duty deaths, dating back to 1885. Every officer added here has been reviewed under the Florida State Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (FSLEOM) criteria and included with the agreement of their agency and, where possible, their family.
For some entries, additional memorial pages, agency tributes, or Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP) records are linked so visitors can read more about who the officer was — their career, their family, and the day they were lost. For the oldest entries, the historical record is shorter. The name stays regardless.
"Behind every bill is a deputy on a midnight shift, a trooper's family waiting up, and a retiree counting on the pension they earned."
The legislative work isn't abstract. Every bill the team tracks touches a real officer's pay, a real family's stability, or a real retiree's promise. That's the standard the committee holds itself to and the reason members in Tallahassee read every line before a vote is taken.

The Submission Process
How an Officer Is Added to the Roll Call.
Every officer honored here has been reviewed under the Florida State Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (FSLEOM) criteria. Families and agencies wishing to submit an officer follow a defined process so each name is documented properly, with the consent of those who knew the officer best.

The Submission Process
Every Name Here Is Also at the Memorial in Tallahassee.
The Roll Call of Heroes mirrors the Florida State Law Enforcement Officers Memorial wall in Tallahassee. Each officer's name is inscribed at the State Memorial and added during the annual Memorial Service, where surviving families, fellow officers, and the broader law enforcement community gather to honor them in person.

Carry the Names Forward
The Record Is Permanent. The Care for the Families Is Ongoing.
The Roll Call is one part of a broader promise. The Florida State FOP Memorial Foundation supports the families behind every name, through the annual service, family assistance, and the simple act of remembering, year after year. That work runs on the people who choose to support it.
*Donations support memorial programs, family assistance, and the annual service.
